Earlier I booked room for 5 days for a total of MYR.318.67. Lateron I changed it to 3 days keeping same check-in date as before. Total price charged to me for 3 days was MYR.403.74I am still trying to figure out how the price for 3 days (when check-in is not changed) could be more than price for 5 days?The rack rates displayed at check-in counter fir same room were much less, meaning that had I not booked through booking.com, I would gave paid less.

unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience here. The rooms were extremely dirty and upon entering the room it smelled like smoke and urine. we could only stay in the bathroom while holding our breath it smelled that bad. The curtains were stained and items in the room like the phone were covered in a yellow must. We understand that this room is cheap, but we have actually stayed in cheaper accommodation elsewhere and cleaning standards were still upheld. we should have read the reviews before booking, as it seems a lot of people have similar experiences; the hotel seems to reply to these reviews saying they will take it on board but some of the reviews are months ago and from what we can see nothing has changed. i wouldn’t recommend staying here whatsoever, alternative and cheap accommodation is definitely out there without compromising on sanitation. we are not normally people to give reviews like this but the room was this bad that we feel we have no choice but to warn others. We were just lucky that we had only one night booked, we arrived late at night and left early in the morning thankfully.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Good location within walking distance to the pier and restaurants.

The room smelled a little bit musky or like someone had smoked inside.

The toilet could be cleaner but it was usable. Photos don't match with the actual room.

They do not provide towel and water bottle (But can refill the water at the counter)

The location was fine

The room smelled bad, like it hadn’t been used in quite a while. There was a smelly cover over the bed with a sigarette burn hole in it. We actually got some kind of rash while staying there, presumably from the (bad hygiene of) the sheets. The staff was friendly, however didn’t do much.

Good location near oceanside attractions, and property was clean and quiet. A/C stopped working and staff handled it very quickly.

Sandakan is nobody's favourite city, but I can't blame the hotel for that. Dirty plastic curtains over a blocked-up gap in the wall instead of a window. Toilet didn't flush very well.

The location is perfect to explore the city. The beds and pillows are confortable. The man at reception is very nice and helpful.This hotel could be perfect if a little cleaner. The curtains were absolutely disgusting. That's too bad because there is a lot of positive things

I liked that it was a private room for a very cheap price. Very friendly and smiling staff

For a very cheap price, you can’t really complain. But when we first entered the room it was a strong smell of mold. It wasn’t clean at all, it was piles of dust against the walls. The pillows were really old and the cotton was all stuck together. Because of the smell and air we had to have the aircon on all night, and it sounded like a tractor. We woke up so many times, ones because I had ants crawling in my face, and twice because of the air and smell in the room.

Reasonable price. Good location.

The location is very strategic.

This is about the family suit and the family suite only. I didn’t stay in their other rooms. The bathroom smelled like urine. The smell was very strong we requested for a room change. Unfortunately they were fully booked. I cleaned the bathroom myself, it took some time but the smell went away so if the cleaners do their job, it can be done. The family suite was poorly maintained. The painting of the walls was all cracked and they repaired it by simply taping it. There was no proper table, just a folding table on the floor. The AC came with no remote control and it made noises (come and go). There hairdyer didn’t work, so you might need to bring your own. I’m not sure if they change the bedding, but sheets were stained and I found rice on my mattress.You also might have some issues with finding the hotel, I tried wazing it but the location but ended up somewhere else. I WhatsApped the motel for the exact location, I suggest you do too.I might come back to try other rooms as the location is very convenient.
